
If you have been wondering whether now is still a good time to buy or sell, the answer might surprise you. While the national housing market is showing signs of strain, with price appreciation barely staying positive and affordability at a breaking point, our local market is actually holding its own pretty well. Homes that are priced right are still getting multiple offers, and buyers are still active despite mortgage rates recently hitting a nine-month high. There is a big shift potentially coming, too: the moment rates drop back to that sweet spot around 6%, expect the floodgates to open.
